Guided Museum Tours

We offer free admission guided tours for all ages, and we also offer tours that include a related activity for different age groups. Scheduling at least one week in advance is required. Guided tours and activities can be scheduled Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pm.

  • Tour of the Exhibits

    This guided tour focuses on our exhibitions space with an optional visit to the Research Center (passenger elevator available).

    All ages, approximately 1 hour.

  • Tour & City Planner Activity

    This guided tour follows our main exhibition space on the first floor and concludes with a city planner activity where participants build their own river-side community inspired by the story of Great Falls.

    All ages, approximately 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes.

  • Tour & You are the Curator Activity

    This guided tour follows our main exhibition space and our 2nd floor Research Center (passenger elevator available). At the end of the tour, participants will curate their own exhibition on paper.

    Recommended for participants in middle school and up, approximately 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes.

  • Visible Vault Tour

    Tours Behind the Visible Vault Wall are offered every Thursday at 2pm with advanced registration. See first hand how we store and care for objects, photographs, and documents pertinent to the North Central Montana region. Participants will be asked to sign in and show identification. Limit to 4 people at a time.

    All ages, approximately 1 hour.
